In January, CMA CGM and TotalEnergies undertook the first ship-to-container ship LNG bunkering operation in the Port of Marseilles.

● The 15,000 TEU CMA CGM BALI was bunkered with around 6,000 m3  of LNG by TotalEnergies’ 18,600 m3  capacity bunker vessel gas vitality. The bunker vessel arrived in Marseilles in December to load at Fos Cavaou LNG terminal. CMA CGM BALI was bunkered while handling operations were being carried out on the vessel at the Eurofos container terminal.

● In November, Schweizerzug started a three pairs/week link (540 TEU a week) between Antwerp and the French Rhine port of Ottmarsheim, which is operated by Alsaceterminal, part of Alsaceteam involving Schweizerzug’s parent Swissterminal, Haropa Ports and the Port of Marseilles. These ports will be looking forward to intermodal rail products linking them to France’s Rhine axis.
