RHE gears up in Italy

News-in-print

Rail Hub Europe SpA (RHE), the inland port in Rivalta Scrivia, near Alessandria, has invested in new handling equipment. The company has acquired a new Kalmar reach stacker with combi-attachment to handle swap bodies and trailers, a Kalmar six-high ECH mast truck and a new Terberg terminal tractor.

It thus now operates six reach stackers, of which three have combi-attachment, six six-high ECHs and three yard tractors.

RHE also recently acquired a second train formation locomotive, a modern CZ 441, to go with the older loco that had performed all marshalling operations until then, for arrivals and departures over the FS station at Rivalta Scrivia.

RHE, part of Gruppo Autosped G (Gavio group through Aurelia Srl), currently occupies an area of 250,000m2 and operates six train gates and five 800m-long loading/unloading tracks.
