Dover Harbour Board (DHB) has invested GBP0.5 mill to develop its ClearWay computer system so that it can take advantage of UK Customs’ New Export System (NES).

The port is the first to pilot NES, which will eventually be implemented at all UK seaports and airports. Following a 5-week pilot, all Customs clearance declarations in Dover will go electronic early in March.
